About The Position

O’Brien Auto Group is looking to expand and is searching for a Service Manager at Jaguar, Land Rover of Tacoma. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to join the Family-Owned growing business. We are searching for a Motivated, energetic, result driven applicant who has managed over 25 employees. The perfect applicant will have 2-5 years of dealerships management experience specifically with Ignite or Reynolds/Reynolds. This position will pay $5,000 plus commission per month. Subject to eligibility requirements, we offer the following benefits: Bonuses Vacation – based on hire date and paid based on position. Attend managers meetings. Understand, comply and train employees while keeping abreast of with Federal, State, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right to know, etc. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff. Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees. Provide technical assistance to employees as needed. Conduct meeting with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest. Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Ensure Compliance of all company policies for department Account for all documents; ensure none are missing. Monitor repair order trends, such as number of repair orders completed, numbers of items per repair order, dollar sales per repair order, dollar sales per service writer, etc. Quality check completed jobs or delegate a responsible party (service manager is ultimately responsible). Randomly check car’s ROs to ensure jobs are completed correctly. Follow up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability. Make sure all repair orders are getting closed. Manage warranty and ensure no claims are over 30 days. Team with General Manager to manage employee performance Ensure that customer service files are up-to-date and are readily available for reference. Monitor the location and care of shop tools. Maintain good working relations with vendors and equipment supply companies to provide top service and competitive pricing. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Regular attendance is essential. Work in cooperative, positive & professional manner with all personnel in the company. Treat members of the public and customers in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. Maintain professional demeanor while at work. Must conform to company policy regarding non-discrimination and harassment. Assure that your direct reports conform to these policies. Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: Phone, computer, adding machine, copier, calculator, stapler, fax machine, pencils/pens, letter opener, scissors, and rulers. Chemicals: Numerous chemicals are used/handled on a limited basis. Employee will be trained by their supervisor on the safe handling/use of these substances. Employee will always follow all safety directives. Physical Demands: Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching; lifting of 20 lbs or less on a frequent basis and carrying 10 lbs or less on a frequent basis; frequent pushing and pulling, twisting, and turning of trunk, reaching and handling of objects; occasional climbing, balancing, and crawling. Candidates for this position must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
