About The Position

The Service & Maintenance Technician role is responsible for servicing and repairing diagnosing, repairing and maintaining car wash equipment. Specifically, this role will focus on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, PLC/MCC issues for automatic car wash systems. Applicants with multiple years of direct carwash experience dealing with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and industrial automation experience will be considered to be hired at a higher level.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic troubleshooting, preferably in the car wash industry
  • Ability to understand high voltage systems, low voltage control and industrial systems
  • Welding and fabricating skills
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available all days of the week, to include weekends, and be able to arrive early or stay last as business dictates
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Customer service-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple years of direct carwash experience dealing with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and industrial automation experience

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair car wash equipment and tunnel systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC controllers, sensors, photo eyes and control panels
  • Repair and maintain electrical motors, gear boxes, pumps, hydraulic power packs and compressors
  • Diagnose conveyor issues, wrap malfunctions, compressors issues and service intervals
  • Perform advanced electrical diagnostics on motor control centers, PLC boards, laguna controller, VFOs, motor starters including oxy shark reclaim systems
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, manuals, plumbing diagrams and chemical delivery functions
  • Preventative maintenance scheduling program and upkeep
  • Generally available between the hours of 8am – 7pm to address equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime; occasional availability to outside malfunctions outside of these hours
  • This role is Trussville, AL based on will be required to regularly commute throughout Raindrop's company footprint
