About The Position

The Service Machine/Yard Attendant is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. This role directs the incoming and outgoing movement of equipment and trucks for the facility, works with facility managers to establish operational procedures for efficient flow and organization, and performs basic inspections of incoming equipment to determine its physical condition, recommending repairs if necessary. The attendant attends and completes required training, works in a neat and orderly fashion, and looks for ways to improve work methods, the work area, and safety standards. They complete required documentation using appropriate software for incoming and outgoing equipment, submitting it to their supervisor in a timely manner. The role requires approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct for the team, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Additionally, the attendant assists with maintaining the facility by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housecleaning, and performing other general maintenance duties. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
6 months or less experience
Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Responsibilities

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.
Wears proper personal protective equipment.
Directs the incoming and outgoing movement of equipment and trucks for the facility.
Works with managers of facility to establish operational procedures to ensure efficient flow and organization.
Performs basic inspection of incoming equipment to determine its physical condition.
Recommends repairs, if necessary.
Attends and successfully completes required tasks and training classes for the Yard Attendant role.
Works in the assigned area in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document incoming and outgoing equipment.
Submits documentation to supervisor as required in a timely manner.
Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work team.
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Assists with maintaining the facility by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housecleaning, and performing other general maintenance duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
