About The Position

The Service Line Coding Administrator is responsible for two main areas: clinical coding activities for their service line, ensuring timely, optimal, and compliant coding of discharged accounts, and the organization and management of the point of care coding documentation improvement program for their individual service line. This role requires expert knowledge of documentation issues that impact service line metrics and the ability to create strategies to optimize performance.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field Required
• General Experience and expert knowledge of the ICD-10CM coding conventions and the AHA Coding Clinic Required
• Certified Coding Specialist Required or Certified Coding Associate Required or Reg Health Information Admin Required or Reg Health Information Tech Required or PA Registered Nurse License Required or PA Practical Nurse License Required or Multi State Compact RN License Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Information Management Preferred
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
• 2 years experience in coding or clinical documentation improvement Preferred
