This position has flexibility to be remote, with occasional trainings on site. The Service Line Coding Administrator shall have two distinct revenue cycle functions and responsibilities. First, the Administrator is directly responsible for all clinical coding activities for their service line. This responsibility includes the timely, optimal, and compliant coding of discharged accounts. Second, the Administrator is directly responsible for the organization and management of the point of care coding documentation improvement program for their individual service line. As such, the Administrator must possess an expert knowledge of the documentation issues that impact service line metrics and create strategies to optimize performance.

Requirements

  • General Experience and expert knowledge of the ICD-10CM coding conventions and the AHA Coding Clinic
  • Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Coding Associate or Reg Health Information Admin or Reg Health Information Tech or PA Registered Nurse License or PA Practical Nurse License or Multi State Compact RN License

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years experience in coding or clinical documentation improvement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Information Management
