About The Position

Blossman Gas, America's largest propane company with over 85 locations across 11 states, is seeking a dynamic Service Manager for its showroom location in Walhalla, SC. This is a career opportunity with a growing and stable company known for low employee turnover. The Service Manager will be responsible for effectively scheduling daily service work, including appliance and gas storage tank installations, new construction piping, and annual maintenance. This role requires regular computer use for email and a point-of-sale scheduling system. The Service Manager will also work alongside Service Technicians, and independently, to install and repair gas comfort equipment such as water heaters, hearth products, cooking appliances, clothes dryers, and generators. Success hinges on understanding service installation timeframes, meeting safety expectations, and providing a quality customer experience. The role involves site visits, quoting new jobs, and using a computer and landline telephone. A valid CDL with hazmat endorsement is a plus, and the company will assist the right candidate in obtaining it. Strong communication and moderate computer skills, including MS Office and learning new software, are essential. Prior propane and/or service installation experience related to gas piping, gas appliances, and hearth products is preferred.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Effectively scheduling daily service work with customers.
  • Properly scheduling appliance and gas storage tank installations, new construction piping, and annual maintenance work.
  • Working alongside Service Technicians and independently to install gas comfort equipment on appliances such as water heaters, hearth products, cooking, clothes dryers, and generators.
  • Making repairs when needed on these appliances.
  • Conducting site visits and quoting for new jobs.
  • Regular work on a computer and landline telephone.
