About The Position

DMG is experienced in the installation and service of all types of commercial HVAC systems, offering complete mechanical capabilities. The HVAC Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Demonstrates advanced technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, and controls components to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems
  • Proficiency with rotating equipment and alignment techniques
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex systems
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and abilities.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and maintain HVAC equipment including small and large split systems, small and large packaged units, large air handling units, mini-split systems, Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems and fan-powered boxes, Exhaust fans and ventilation systems, Self-Contained units and CRAC units, Water-source heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, Boilers, cooling towers, and pumps.
  • Perform major mechanical repairs including replacement of large motors and compressors, bearing replacement in motors, air handlers, and cooling towers, laser alignment of pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and improve system efficiency
  • Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions or upgrades
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
  • Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance actions accurately
  • Participate in department meetings as requested
