Service Function Diagnostics Engineer
About The Position
The Service Function Diagnostics Engineer is responsible for authoring and repurposing Open Test Exchange (OTX) service functions to support new vehicle delivery and module replacement commissioning globally. This role collaborates closely with Product Development, Quality teams, and diagnostic suppliers to deliver robust, high-quality, and timely service solutions. Key tasks include validating diagnostic solutions using software-in-the-loop simulations and hands-on, physical on-vehicle testing. Additionally, the engineer manages the delivery of service information for New Model North American vehicle programs while resolving field issues with high urgency. Ultimately, this position ensures our global dealer network can diagnose and repair vehicles correctly the first time.
Requirements
- Experience with Open Test Exchange (OTX) service functions.
- Familiarity with vehicle delivery and module replacement commissioning processes.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Development, Quality teams, and diagnostic suppliers.
- Experience with software-in-the-loop simulations.
- Experience with hands-on, physical on-vehicle testing.
- Experience managing the delivery of service information for vehicle programs.
