Service Field Tech - Power Systems Technicians or NETA Technicians are expected to perform service, test and maintain various types of power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, performing start-ups, and collecting data on low, medium, and/or high voltage electrical systems. Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining protective relaying equipment, developing standardized procedures, performing functional testing of substation control circuits, creating relay macros and testing routines, executing end-to-end relay testing, and reviewing relay settings and logic equations. The role also encompasses testing and inspecting low and medium voltage cable installations, performing start-up, troubleshooting, and repair services on controls and transfer schemes, and rotating emergency on-call duty. All work must be conducted in strict compliance with regulatory laws.
