About The Position

Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. has been a leader in roofing, waterproofing, cladding and glazing services across British Columbia and Ontario for over 90 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Service Roofing Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience, who is not only analytical but passionate in working with our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, that enjoys providing quotations through architectural drawing and/ or through field review.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of estimating experience in commercial construction or a related industry
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and integrity when handling confidential pricing and project information

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline is considered an asset
  • Experience estimating service, maintenance, renovation, or construction projects is considered an asset
  • Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar platforms is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support the estimating process for commercial service, maintenance, repair, and small project opportunities
  • Participate in sales and operations meetings, providing updates on bids, awarded work, and new opportunities
  • Maintain and update vendor, supplier, subcontractor, and client databases
  • Review project drawings, specifications, tender documents, and site information to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Source pricing from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Prepare detailed estimates, quotations, bid forms, tender submissions, and proposal packages
  • Conduct site visits, assess existing conditions, and gather project information as required
  • Follow up with clients, consultants, and general contractors regarding quotations and bid status
  • Collaborate with team members, site supervisors, coordinators, purchasing, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoffs
  • Assist with contracts, warranties, bid documentation, CCDC documents, and project closeout requirements
