About The Position

We're hiring Site Supervisor for the Site Mechanical team. If you are technically minded, willing to travel and motivated to take the lead on projects at customer sites then this role is for you. Under the general guidance from the Service Team Lead, Site Mechanical and Sr. Manager, Pulp & Energy Service Operations, NA this role is responsible for the execution of site services within the Site Mechanical Team. The position will work closely with Field Service, Sales, Product teams, Engineering, and the Project Management teams. Support and foster a team with focus on HSE Support the coordination of scheduling technical, trade, equipment, and other project resources within their own team and others Active role in business development plans for their area and others Direct and facilitate the work of advisors, millwrights, alignment crews, pipe fitters and electricians in accordance with standards and drawings Assist in customer and internal presentations related to installation, operation and maintenance Provide support training for Valmet product lines Provide technical advisory support for site services projects executed outside of the Site Mechanical Team as required Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Internal policies related to site projects Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites up to 70% per year Expectation of administrative support while not on-site for the Services team to include aforementioned development plans, proposal development, project management, and other support tasks as required This position is not eligible for international relocation. Applicant must be living and authorized to work in the US as sponsorship will not be available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • minimum of five years of related hands-on mechanical experience in roles like maintenance mechanic, mechanical construction foreman or technician
  • Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting and machining preferred
  • Requires the ability to read blueprints and diagrams
  • Must be able to oversee projects and manage all aspects of leading a sub-contractor crew
  • Ability to travel by air or automobile up to 200 days a year. Mostly domestically, sometimes internationally.
