The Service and Engagement Team Leader role is designed to provide meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. This role focuses on guest experience fundamentals, building a guest-first culture, driving loyalty programs, guest engagement, problem-solving, retail business fundamentals, planning daily/weekly workload, and leading a team. As a Service and Engagement Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience, ensuring team members are trained and consistently deliver on Target's guest experience commitments. You will review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvements. Demonstrating inclusivity, you will lead a team of Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants to exceed guest service expectations by focusing on decreasing wait times, friendly interactions, quality of service, resolution, driving loyalty, and cleanliness standards. You will also understand sales goals, business reporting, and guest insights to plan and execute workload, support Target Loyalty Programs, and follow up on training completion. Engaging in development conversations, personalizing recognition, and leading a culture of accountability are key aspects of this role. You will quickly respond to guest concerns, de-escalate situations, and ensure your team understands and feels supported to resolve issues. Keeping your team updated on promotions and events, evaluating candidates for open positions, and supporting pick-up and drive-up orders are also responsibilities. You will demonstrate ethical conduct and compliance, lead a safety culture, and model execution of physical security processes. If applicable, as a key carrier, you will follow safe and secure training and processes. Occasionally, you may assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities and address all store emergency and compliance needs.
