About The Position

Southern Home Services, a residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company, is seeking a Service Electrician for Mission Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. The role handles residential electrical service work, including troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. The electrician diagnoses problems, completes repairs or replacements, follows applicable safety standards and electrical codes, and explains issues and options to homeowners. The position involves physical work in indoor and outdoor settings, including attics and crawlspaces, and requires customer service, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

At least 3 years of residential electrical experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive.
Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Adaptability, flexibility, creativity, and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to climb ladders, access attics and crawlspaces, navigate tight spaces, drive, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, handle or feel objects or controls, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors and tolerate regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems, identify issues, and complete repairs to restore functionality.
Install, repair, and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical systems.
Explain electrical problems to customers, present repair or replacement options, and provide recommendations.
Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories.
Use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade.
Apply electrical codes and regulations to ensure work complies with local, state, and national standards and maintains job-site safety.
Perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting objects safely.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
