About The Position

Mister Sparky of South Texas is hiring a residential service electrician in San Antonio, Texas. The role focuses exclusively on residential service, helping homeowners diagnose and resolve electrical problems and improve safety. Technicians drive a stocked company vehicle to service calls, identify root causes, explain the situation and available options to homeowners, and complete repairs or installations, preferably during the same visit. The position combines technical service work with customer education and recommendations. Requirements

• Valid Texas TDLR electrical license as a Wireman, Journeyman, or Master.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with an emphasis on completing quality work correctly the first time.
• Comfort communicating with homeowners, building trust, and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Self-motivation, punctuality, reliability, and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of residential electrical experience preferred.
• Four or more years of total electrical experience preferred.
• Commercial electricians interested in transitioning to residential service are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot residential electrical problems and perform repairs and installations.
• Explain electrical issues to homeowners and present appropriate repair, upgrade, or replacement options.
• Install or upgrade electrical panels, wiring, lighting, surge protection, EV chargers, and safety devices.
• Manage service calls from diagnosis through completion whenever possible.
• Use ServiceTitan on a company tablet to record job notes, photos, and customer options.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites and show respect for customers' homes.
• Drive a stocked company vehicle to residential service calls across South Texas.
