About The Position
At Performance Electrical Contracting in Jacksonville, FL, we need a service electrician who can show up to a commercial or residential job, figure it out, and get it done — with little to no help. If you know your code, take pride in clean work, and know how to talk to a customer, we want to talk to you.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as an electrician, commercial and residential
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (or state equivalent)
- Solid knowledge of both commercial and residential code
- Proven ability to work independently and get the job done without a crew
- A good attitude and comfort dealing with customers face to face
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on commercial and residential service calls
- Install and repair wiring, panels, fixtures, outlets, switches, and more
- Run your own jobs from start to finish with little to no supervision
- Figure out the right materials and approach to get each job done right
- Test your work before you leave to make sure it's done correctly
- Keep the job site neat, organized, and cleaned up when you're done
- Talk directly with customers, explain what you found and what you fixed
- Teach and mentor helpers you're working with on the job
- Keep accurate notes on what you did, what you used, and your time
- Follow all safety rules and OSHA requirements on every job
