About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Service Electrician with experience in plant operations and commercial/industrial environments. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical systems within manufacturing facilities, plants, and heavy commercial/industrial settings. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, experience working around production equipment, and the ability to work safely in high-demand, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in industrial or plant electrical service work
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and power distribution
  • Experience working in manufacturing plants, processing facilities, or heavy commercial environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in high-voltage and control systems
  • Ability to work independently in active plant environments with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician license preferred (if required by state/local regulations)
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, and commercial environments
  • Perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance on industrial electrical systems, equipment, and production machinery
  • Install, repair, and replace panels, transformers, motor controls, disconnects, VFDs, and distribution systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-related systems, motors, and control circuits (as applicable)
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, control drawings, and technical documents
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous plant operations
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety protocols
  • Work safely around energized systems, production equipment, and industrial environments
  • Communicate clearly with plant managers, maintenance teams, and supervisors regarding system issues and repairs
  • Document service work, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and testing equipment in a safe and organized condition
  • Respond to urgent or emergency plant service calls, including after-hours as needed
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance teams, and other trades to ensure minimal disruption to production
  • All other duties as assigned
