About The Position

Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) is hiring a Service Electrician for work in and around Harmans, MD. SERVICE ELECTRICIAN (Harmans, MD) Top Talent Only | Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus What you’ll do: You’ll handle maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical and lighting systems. You’ll work directly on customer sites where professionalism, accuracy, and speed matter.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have or obtain DOT card
  • High school diploma / GED (or equivalent training)
  • Journeyman License (not signed into a J-card)
  • Proof of 4–5 year apprenticeship program completion
  • 5+ years electrical experience
  • Experience running crews
  • Strong troubleshooting ability
  • Blueprint/schematic experience
  • Bucket experience or willingness to be trained
  • Identify conductor colors accurately
  • Use power tools and two-handed tools (cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers)
  • Dig trenches and work with hand tools/power equipment comfortably
  • Operate company trucks (manual and automatic transmissions)
  • Read maps, manuals, specs, job directions, and prints
  • Work from lifts (gas/electric) safely

Nice To Haves

  • Equipment operation experience (trenchers/backhoes/lifts)
  • Strong documentation habits and job closeout discipline
  • Operate trenchers, backhoes, lift trucks safely (if qualified)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and repair systems efficiently
  • Install wiring, devices, and electrical/lighting components
  • Read and work from prints, schematics, and job directions
  • Complete daily job tickets and required documentation
  • Perform DVIR/JHA daily and follow all safety requirements
  • Participate in scheduled emergency service (rotational/on-call)
