About The Position

We are seeking a Service Director to lead our residential services with excellence, compassion, and accountability. This role is responsible for overseeing daily service delivery, supervising Direct Support Professionals, and ensuring that each resident receives high-quality, individualized support in alignment with their goals and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a strong, steady leader who brings both heart and structure to their work—someone who can coach teams, maintain high expectations, and foster a positive, respectful culture. This individual will play a key role in shaping the daily experience of our residents and supporting a team committed to providing care that is safe, consistent, and truly person-centered. Requirements

  • Experience supervising or leading services for individuals with disabilities (required)
  • Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage teams, schedules, and high-responsibility environments
  • Must meet all background, health, and regulatory requirements
  • A strong, steady leader who leads with professionalism, respect, and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support DSP staff to maintain a positive, professional team culture
  • Lead staff communication, meetings, and performance management
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
  • Monitor documentation, medication management practices, and daily service delivery
  • Support behavior plans and resident engagement to enhance quality of life
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and continuity of care
  • Coordinate staffing adjustments, call-outs, and overtime as needed
  • Support both residential and day programming alignment
  • Ensure services meet DBHDS regulations and agency standards
  • Monitor staff training compliance and documentation accuracy
  • Support inspections, safety checks, and overall program quality
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership, staff, families, and partners
  • Address concerns proactively and support a solutions-focused environment
