You will manage all logistics, legal paperwork, and ceremonial details for memorial and burial services while supporting grieving families.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in mortuary science, business administration, or hospitality.
High levels of empathy.
Strong communication skills.

A clean driving record.

Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills.
Professional attitude, demeanor and presentation.
Ability to care about the needs of the families we serve in a compassionate and empathetic manner, while remaining consistent with high standards and values.

Nice To Haves

Funeral Director license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage all logistics, legal paperwork, and ceremonial details for memorial and burial services.
Support grieving families.
Meet with families to discuss final wishes, select caskets or urns, plan viewings, and coordinate religious or personal services.
Schedule venues, clergy, musicians, pallbearers, and transportation for the deceased and mourners.
Schedule and set up flowers, chapels, programs, music selections, caskets and waiting on family members.
File death certificates, burial permits, and required state or federal documentation.
Oversee body transfers, preparation, dressing, and casketing (and sometimes embalming, depending on licensure).
Supervise funeral attendants, maintain facility appearance, and handle day-to-day business operations.
Manage stressful situations well and work under pressure.
