About The Position

The Service Desk Technician is responsible for assisting and coordinating services for members of the Sheriff’s Office. The member performs technical, training and administrative duties and tasks specific to the position. The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude which includes the following: interacting positively and cooperating with co-workers, responding politely to customers, working as a team member, functioning under intense time pressure and responding in a positive manner to supervision. The Service Desk Technician may perform other related duties and tasks, as required and shall have the physical, mental and emotional abilities to perform the essential job duties of the position.

Requirements

  • Two (2) year college degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related technical fields
  • A comparable amount of training may be substituted
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in hands-on operation and repair of various computers and peripherals
  • Works near high voltage electrical system
  • Knowledge of Computer equipment
  • Knowledge of Electrical tools
  • Knowledge of PCSO computer operating systems
  • Knowledge of Geographical area
  • Knowledge of PCSO policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of Personal computer operating system
  • Knowledge of Various software
  • Knowledge of Internet and searches
  • Ability to Use tools
  • Ability to Comprehend software programs
  • Ability to Operate office equipment
  • Ability to Read and write English
  • Ability to Operate motor vehicle
