About The Position

TEKsystems is partnering with a local client on the search for an IT Support Technician. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy a mix of help desk support and hands-on field work, providing variety beyond a traditional desk-bound position. Technicians will support a wide range of clients across industries, requiring strong adaptability, technical curiosity, and excellent customer communication skills. This position is primarily onsite/in-office, with flexibility for occasional remote work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client IT issues (phone, email, ticketing system)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 & Tier 2 issues including: Password resets (Active Directory), O365 administration, Printer and connectivity issues, Workstation and OS errors
  • Set up and configure new users, laptops, and desktops
  • Document all work in PSA/ticketing tools
  • Escalate complex issues while maintaining ownership of the client experience
  • Travel to client sites within a 60-mile radius
  • Install and configure IT infrastructure including: Servers, switches, firewalls (“rack & stack”), TVs, monitors, cameras, and network racks
  • Run and terminate Cat6 cabling
  • Utilize power tools (drills, drivers, etc.) for installations
  • Assist with office moves and equipment setups
  • Maintain clean and organized cable management
