About The Position

This position is up to 12 months, with the option of extension, and is in Columbia, SC. Corp to Corps are NOT allowed for this client. W2 Only. The role involves assisting the Site Support Manager and Operations Director with projects affecting the end-user population and devices. The specialist will diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows) and various software applications. They will assist all Agency users with logged IT-related incidents, take ownership of issues by performing problem analysis for quick fixes, and escalate incidents when necessary. Responsibilities include accurately recording and updating requests in the IT service desk system, installing and configuring new IT equipment, resolving incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners, and maintaining a high level of customer service. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for effective communication with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.

Requirements

  • IT service desk experience.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer and network problems.
  • Desktop/server support experience.
  • PC setup, configuration, & deployment experience.
  • Microsoft (MS) office installation experience.
  • MS Office 365 experience.
  • Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems (client/server environment).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Support Manager and Operations Director with projects affecting the end user population and devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows) and across a range of software applications.
  • Assist all Agency users with any logged IT-related incident when called upon.
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment.
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners.
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff at all levels in the organization.
