We offer one of the region's largest selections of inground and above-ground pools, hot tubs, swim spas, saunas, patio furniture, pool equipment, chemicals, and more. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Service Department Manager to lead our In-House Service Department at our corporate headquarters in La Vergne, TN. The Service Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and team performance. This role will manage service technicians, coordinate scheduling, support customers, and help drive department success through leadership, organization, and technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership or management experience in a service-related environment
  • Experience supervising, motivating, and leading a team
  • Swimming pool equipment, maintenance, or repair experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the in-house service department
  • Coordinate and manage service technician schedules and daily assignments
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install pool-related equipment, including safety pool covers, safety fences, and related products for residential and commercial customers
  • Assist customers with scheduling pool openings, closings, and routine maintenance services
  • Handle customer calls and service inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner
  • Prepare repair and service estimates and quotes
  • Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and service issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and services
  • Support employee training, coaching, and ongoing development
  • Communicate effectively with ownership and leadership regarding department operations and updates
  • Manage a team of approximately 5–10 employees, including timekeeping, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Attend management meetings and provide departmental updates
