About The Position

Service Coordinators for Early Intervention play a crucial role in assisting infants and toddlers with disabilities, as well as their families, in receiving the necessary services and rights under Part C of IDEA. The responsibilities of a Service Coordinator for Early Intervention include coordinating the provision of early intervention services and other necessary services, assisting families in accessing needed services, coordinating evaluations and assessments, and facilitating the development, review, and evaluation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Service Coordinators also play a key role in ensuring that services are provided in a timely manner, informing families of their rights and procedural safeguards, coordinating funding sources, and assisting in the development of transition plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related health, human service, or education field
  • Knowledge of infant and toddler development
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Good people skills
