As a Service Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role in starting and commissioning new systems, as well as diagnosing and repairing environmental-control systems. This position requires a strong understanding of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and various control and mechanical techniques, applied across diverse commercial settings. You will act as the primary customer contact, responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective identification, diagnosis, and repair at customer locations. The role involves close coordination with team leaders and customers to accurately understand project requirements, anticipate potential issues, gather necessary materials, and synchronize on-site work. You are expected to stay current with Trane products, particularly regarding the installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems. Adherence to the highest safety standards and maintaining the security and accountability of company-issued assets are also key aspects of this role. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays are required to meet business demands.
