About The Position

Under direct supervision, disassemble and reassemble pump systems, including the cleaning of parts for the rebuild process. This role involves receiving pumps, generating parts orders, performing teardown and condition reports, and documenting observations during disassembly to generate failure analysis reports. The technician will also maintain and replace equipment, tools, and supplies, and ensure proper operation of power and hand tools. Adherence to all procedures and instructions during assembly and performance testing is crucial, along with timely communication of issues to leads or supervisors. The role also includes preparing reports to analyze product failure trends, recommending solutions, and performing maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products, including circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.
  • Ability to wear a respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and to continually wear eye protection.
  • Ability to perform the identified essential functions of the classification, including the operation of any machinery and/or equipment that is associated with performing the essential functions.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position in a cross-cultural, demanding, and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to him/herself, others, or property.

  • High School, GED, or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • Zero (0) to Four (4) years of electro-mechanical and field service experience, preferably in the semiconductor or related industry.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical skills.
  • Working knowledge of principles of vacuum technology.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Speaking in front of groups.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Demonstrated leadership and program management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customers.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembly, cleaning, or re-assembly of pumps.
  • Receive pumps, generate parts orders, and perform teardown and condition reports.

  • Communicate all issues to Leads/Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Re-assembly of pumps.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
  • May complete rework and quality testing on assemblies and/or systems.
  • Prepare accurate and consistent reports to analyze product failure trends and serviceability issues.
  • Recommend solutions to technical problems.
  • Performing equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products.
  • Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Ensure that all Procedures and Instructions are followed during the performance test process.
  • Comply with EBARA’s safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
