About The Position

This position reports to the Operations Manager, or their designee, and provides customer service over the phone, via email, and in person. Provides administrative support for the Facilities Service Center staff. Tasks include: providing customer service, answering phones, radio dispatch, assisting with walk-in customers, as well as performing various administrative and basic accounting functions. This includes assisting with data entry tasks with our work order data system.

  • Must be an enrolled student at California State University, Fullerton
  • Availability must include working blocks of no less than 3 hours
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible
  • Knowledge of general office equipment and methods
  • Must be confident in making phone calls and relaying time-sensitive information in a clear manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to listen attentively and convey understanding
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with a graduation date of May 2027 or later are preferred
  • Previous customer service and clerical experience strongly encouraged
