About The Position

Medtronic is looking for a Technician II for our Rice Creek Service Center. The technician will be responsible for repairs and maintenance on products from our neuroscience portfolio. This position performs technical repair, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation activities on electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical medical devices within a neuroscience service depot environment. The role supports product quality, inventory management, process improvement initiatives, and compliance with established quality system requirements while collaborating with operations, engineering, and quality partners.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2+ years relevant experience.
Ability to work in an active operations environment and perform tasks requiring movement between workstations, material handling, and product processing.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Experience troubleshooting, testing, repairing, or maintaining electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
Experience in medical device manufacturing, repair, assembly, or service operations, including work within Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485 regulated environments.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, work instructions, and documented procedures.
Knowledge of quality systems, inventory management processes, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with proficiency using computer-based systems to document operational, quality, inventory, or repair-related information.
Strong technical documentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and evaluate electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical devices and components.
Perform testing, calibration, alignment, and verification activities to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements.
Document product findings, test results, and repair activities using approved systems and procedures.
Manage parts, materials, and inventory transactions, including cycle counting and inventory reconciliation activities.
Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Quality Management System (QMS) applications to support operational workflows and maintain accurate records.
Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions to complete repair and evaluation activities.
Identify technical issues and implement corrective actions to address operational roadblocks and improve workflow efficiency.
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings to engineering and management teams.
