About The Position

Are you ready to be LBS Financial Credit Union’s Service Center Manager at our California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) branch, where you will serve as a key ambassador and growth driver, focusing heavily on community outreach, strategic partnerships, and active business development across the campus? In this role, your primary impact will stem from building strategic partnerships with university departments, student organizations, and faculty to expand our membership and elevate the branch as a trusted financial partner. While your core mission centers on community engagement and identifying new growth opportunities, you will also oversee the branch’s daily operations. This includes providing high-level operational guidance, coaching a high-performing service team of two, and ensuring day-to-day transactions consistently meet our standards for service excellence and compliance. Ultimately, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the campus community while actively scaling the credit union's presence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supervision and/or management within a financial institution with mastery level knowledge of branch depository and loan operations; sound knowledge of methods and principles of financial services practices and standards including product offerings with an emphasis on superior Member service expectations.
  • Previous experience and ability to train developing Member Care Representatives in sound practices of their related job duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the credit union service center(s).
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain high levels of service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Handle escalated member service issues, resolving them in a professional and timely manner.
  • Oversee digital transaction processes and guide members through various cashless financial services.
  • Lead, coach and supervise a team of up to five employees.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities through coaching.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for staff to ensure top-tier member service.
  • Schedule and manage employee shifts to ensure coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Identify business development opportunities by engaging with students, faculty, staff and vendors.
  • Promote credit union products and services that align with the financial needs of the university community.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders on campus, such as student organizations, faculty leaders and campus vendors.
  • Create and implement strategies to attract new members and increase service usage.
  • Organize and participate in campus events to promote the credit union’s presence and offerings.
  • Monitor branch performance, ensuring it meets or exceeds financial and service goals.
