Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform repeated bending & lifting of up to 50lbs during certain procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in facility maintenance
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain & maintain HSPD & Secret, preferred HSPD-12 & Secret Active.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the facilities is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • The technician serves as a technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO).
  • They are expected to be heavily engaged in limited facility operations within the facility and to support operations in various capacities.
  • Utilizes safe working practices; can apply lockout/tagout, SDS, applies good housekeeping methods, etc.
  • Ability to type and utilize common administrative and office software.
  • Ability to use hand tools and ensures activities are logged in the tracking system for work orders.
  • Daily walk-through of facility documenting parameters such as meter readings, temperature, water and humidity, alarm status.
  • Ability to understand site-specific processes and procedures such as how to report an incident or outage, procedure execution, PM standards, Work Orders tracking system.
