About The Position

Develop and drive a menu of shared services through standardizing, automating, and optimizing processes in support of the network strategy. Lead service center performance by monitoring performance of the team against defined performance & quality standards, providing KPI reporting, and executing regular business reviews. Identify problem areas in service delivery processes and efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions. Collaborate with the network to maximize adoption and utilization. Develop and manage SSC resources to have the capability and capacity to execute the services. Provide financial stewardship by managing SSC costs and reporting value creation. Serve as escalation point of contact for all concerns between the network and the SSC.

Requirements

  • Superior complex process development skills including the ability to design and deploy.
  • Advanced skills with performance management, statistics, and other analytical techniques and tools.
  • Proficient in leading matrix teams.
  • Experienced in all areas of transportation, logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Makes clients and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develop and sustain productive relationships.
  • Analyzes complex problems and develop alternative solutions.
  • Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
  • Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • 12+ years logistics industry experience
  • 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics and Transporation preferred.
  • Remote team management preferred.
  • 3+ years in leading continuous improvement projects with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
