Requirements

  • Automotive Experience
  • Experience with CDK Drive
  • Ability to use CDK Drive to process service repair orders and look up repair orders
  • Ability to reconcile credit card payments
  • Ability to balance cash drawer daily
  • Ability to compute customer bills
  • Ability to receive cash, checks and credit card payments
  • Ability to accept deposits, complete payments for extending warranties, and handle other purchases
  • Ability to ring up sales, bag items, request price checks, honor coupons, collect payment, and give appropriate change
  • Ability to update customer's service history
  • Ability to calculate materials charges, repair charges, and taxes
  • Understanding of various types of warranties
  • Ability to furnish information about the dealership and its services and vehicles
  • Clear and courteous communication skills
  • Ability to accurately relay information about prices, vehicles, and services
  • Ability to answer incoming calls to the service department

Responsibilities

  • Receiving payment for service transactions
  • Close service repair orders once vehicle is picked up
  • Reconcile credit card payments every evening, and prepare deposit
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Know how to use CDK Drive to process service repair orders, look up repair orders, ect.
  • Maintaining or creating customer satisfaction
  • Greeting customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Computing customer bills
  • Receiving cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; recording amount received
  • Accepting deposits, completing payments for extending warranties, and handling other purchases
  • Ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment, and giving appropriate change
  • Updating the customer's service history
  • Calculating materials charges, repair charges, and taxes
  • Understanding various types of warranties
  • Furnishing information about the dealership and its services and vehicles
  • Communicating clearly and courteously, and accurately relaying information about prices, vehicles, and services.
  • Answer incoming calls to the service department
