About The Position

Proof of the Pudding, the premier food service provider for Food & Beverage at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium, is seeking Buffet Attendants/Servers. This role involves monitoring and assisting in the operations of game day suites catering for football, basketball, and other events. This is a seasonal/part-time position dictated by athletic events, offering an exciting work environment within the heart of AU action. The position requires maintaining buffet services, preparing food items, restocking stations, and delivering food to suites. It also involves assisting the culinary, operations, and premium teams as needed.

Requirements

Experience working in food & beverage or a stadium is preferred
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Must live within or near Auburn, AL
Must be available for the majority of AU event days
Must be a phenomenal team player
Excellent listening and communication skills
Ability to work shifts ranging from 8-12 hours as business demands
Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs
Planning, multi-tasking and a phenomenal team player
Self-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication
Non-slip shoes are necessary
Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships
Possess the expertise and skill levels required of the job and perform with quality
Dependable, reliable and follows through on projects from inception to completion

Responsibilities

Maintaining and cleaning the buffet services according to standards
Accomplishing all assigned cleaning, stocking, and maintenance tasks
Answering guest questions about menu items, daily specials, and beverages, including knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes
Preparing foods, such as fruit, juices, cereals, bread, and hot foods
Replenishing food on hot/cold buffets
Restocking outlet with appropriate inventory
Removing trash from all containers in outlet, taking it to the dumpster
Putting away food stock and dry goods in their proper location
Assisting in arranging the room and setting tables for special events
Delivering and running food between suites
Assisting the culinary, operations, and premium team as directed
Performing other related duties as required
