About The Position

As a Service Associate - Reserve (Travel Teller) at First Merchants, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions, answering inquiries and resolving problems, and building customer loyalty. You will also contribute to the overall banking center operations by balancing cash, daily transactions, vault, and ATM, ensuring compliance with regulations, following information security policies, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. Additionally, you will actively participate in a sales environment by selling bank products, making customer referrals, and staying knowledgeable about all bank products, while also participating in meetings and coaching sessions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answering customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
• Continually building customer loyalty and customer advocates.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Understanding and ensuring compliance, regulations and reporting.
• Following information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Selling bank products, making customer referrals and other activities to support the goals.
• Knowing about all bank products.
• Participating in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
