About The Position

The Service Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the Service Department, including receptionist duties, cashiering, filing, organizing records, and customer service. This role requires the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and maintain a professional appearance. The assistant will also handle internal repair orders, assist with PA requests, manage workflow, and potentially fill in for service writers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet company's production and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in the service department
  • Answer a large volume of inbound and outbound calls for the Service Department
  • Document and organize reservations of Service Department customers
  • File, organize, and maintain all service records
  • Serve as cashier in the department
  • Multi-task and handle more than one task at a time
  • Handle all internal repair orders including used vehicles, trades, wholesale and PDI's
  • Assist with PA Requests
  • Keep workflow and technicians moving via proper communication with advisors and technicians
  • Use the Xtime RO Dashboard to assist with workflow
  • Assist in all other service related areas when needed
  • Fill in for service writers when one is on vacation/break
