Our Service and Warranty Technician is responsible for supporting our luxury custom home building, remodeling, and homeowner services divisions. This hands-on role is responsible for completing warranty requests, maintenance services, punch list items, and residential repair projects while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a skilled trades professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, communicates effectively with homeowners, and enjoys working on a variety of residential construction and maintenance projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-end custom homes and play a key role in maintaining the quality and reputation that Cullen Construction is known for.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of residential construction and general trades, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and coordinate with licensed trade professionals when specialized work is required.
  • Understanding of residential construction methods, building systems, maintenance practices, and warranty service processes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and technology for field documentation, communication, and project tracking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with construction management software such as Buildertrend is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential construction, handyman, or maintenance experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, trade school certificate, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania building codes and residential construction standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential maintenance, repair, and light construction work across luxury custom homes, remodeling projects, and homeowner service requests.
  • Complete punch list items and finish work as projects near completion, ensuring homes meet Cullen Construction’s high standards for quality and move-in readiness.
  • Respond to warranty and service requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner, delivering a high-touch homeowner experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, materials used, project updates, and progress photos.
  • Collaborate with project managers, team members, and subcontractors to coordinate work and ensure projects are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Communicate proactively with homeowners regarding project schedules, service appointments, work progress, and upcoming activities.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company quality standards, local building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
  • Assist project teams with additional service, maintenance, and construction-related tasks to support successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
