The Service and Training Manager will lead and manage the service team, including service advisors and technicians, to maintain high levels of performance and customer service. This role involves developing and implementing service department processes to optimize efficiency and workflow, ensuring accurate and timely completion of service documentation, and monitoring department KPIs to drive improvement and maximize profitability. The manager will also provide training, development, and mentorship to service team members, maintain compliance with all dealership policies and regulations, and oversee scheduling, staff shifts, and labor management to control costs. Addressing customer concerns promptly and collaborating with other dealership departments are key aspects of this position, along with forecasting department goals, managing budgets, and aligning operations with overall dealership objectives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Service Manager in an automotive dealership setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive service repair and maintenance processes.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software and other computer applications.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Honda brand and familiarity with OEM standards.
  • Additional training or certifications related to automotive service management.
