About The Position

The Service & Repair Technician I is responsible for reviewing, repairing, and upgrading customer(s) firearms that are returned for service, repair, or upgrade. They perform standard firearms assembly procedures, work, and repairs on manufactured products according to provided work instructions and training as assigned. This position will work both independently and in a team environment with internal Service & Repair Technicians, Engineering, and Customer Service.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically requires no prior work experience as it is an entry-level position.
Possess limited to some level of assembly experience.
Possess product knowledge of up to 3 platforms.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
Have the technical skills to lead awareness, nuclear, and HAZMAT training.
Ability to help out when directed to.
Complete assigned tasks on time.
Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

Perform basic entry and navigation in both Oracle and Agile to process work orders.
Tear down and assemble SIG firearms.
Aware, possess an understanding of, and follow all department procedures.
Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
