About The Position

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Porter to support daily operations for our partner dealers in Annapolis, MD! As a Porter at Xcite Automotive, you will play a key role in supporting daily dealership operations by ensuring vehicles are safely moved, properly organized, and customer-ready at all times. This position is responsible for maintaining lot organization, assisting the service drive, and helping create a clean, professional dealership environment in a fast-paced automotive setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and motivated to support both dealership staff and customers through efficient vehicle handling and strong attention to detail. The Porter must be professional, adaptable, and capable of working efficiently as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and vehicle care.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work outdoors and remain active for extended periods.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Porter, Lot Attendant, Valet, or Service Drive experience.
  • Basic automotive knowledge and familiarity with dealership operations or workflow.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Customer service or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move, park, and retrieve vehicles throughout the dealership property.
  • Maintain a clean, organized lot with accurate vehicle placement and staging.
  • Assist the service drive with vehicle intake, customer flow, and vehicle staging for service appointments.
  • Perform quick exterior wipe-downs and basic interior clean-ups to maintain vehicle presentation standards.
  • Complete lot checks, including monitoring batteries, plates, tags, and overall vehicle readiness.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the service drive, customer waiting areas, and dealership grounds.
  • Support technicians and service staff by positioning vehicles in service bays or designated work areas.
  • Follow company safety procedures and immediately report safety concerns or vehicle damage to management.
  • Work efficiently to support dealership traffic flow, service operations, and vehicle turnaround expectations.
  • Assist team members as needed to maintain operational efficiency and consistent dealership standards.
  • Ensure dealership areas and vehicles remain customer-ready throughout the day.
