About The Position
West Point Auto and Truck Center is looking to hire an experienced Service Technician to join their growing team. This role involves the installation, assembly, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various equipment, including feed boxes and hydraulic systems, on truck chassis.
Requirements
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
- Experience with PTO installation and troubleshooting
- Experience assembling and mounting feed boxes, truck bodies, or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license required
Nice To Haves
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- CDL preferred
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble new feed boxes and related equipment
- Mount feed boxes and bodies onto truck chassis
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair PTO (Power Take-Off) systems
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work as needed
- Conduct inspections and ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
