About The Position

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, greeting them, understanding their vehicle's needs, and preparing repair orders. You will also be responsible for communicating any additional service requirements and costs to the customer and obtaining their authorization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements

2+ years of experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Professional appearance.
Clean work area.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner and obtain vehicle information.
Listen to customer's description of the problem or service needed and determine the type of service required.
Prepare repair orders, including detailed descriptions of customer concerns to assist technicians.
Advise customers about necessary service for routine maintenance and recommend corrective procedures based on inspection results.
Provide complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
Establish a "promised time" for service completion, checking with the dispatcher if necessary.
Obtain customer's signature on repair orders and provide them with a copy.
Monitor repair progress throughout the day and contact customers regarding any changes to the estimate or promised time, explaining cost and time requirements in detail.
Obtain proper authorization before performing any additional repairs.
Review repair orders to ensure all work is completed and any additional work and authorization is noted.
Explain the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
Handle customer complaints and telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
