About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Marine Service Advisor to join our team. The Marine Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a smooth and efficient repair and maintenance process for all marine vessels.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in marine service, automotive service advising, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of boats, engines, and marine systems (inboard, outboard, electrical, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with service management software and basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of service advisor or marine industry experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or marine-related training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess their marine service and repair needs
  • Write detailed service orders and communicate issues clearly to technicians
  • Provide accurate estimates for repairs, maintenance, and parts
  • Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, and parts department
  • Monitor job progress and keep customers informed of status updates
  • Ensure timely completion of service work and follow up on any outstanding items
  • Process invoices, explain charges, and handle payments
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service
  • Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards in all service operations
