About The Position

Tom Wood Group is seeking a high-performing, customer-focused Service Advisor to deliver an exceptional, concierge-level service experience. This role blends automotive knowledge, clear communication, and a commitment to excellence that aligns with our core values. Location Note: This position is currently based at our Anderson, IN location. Tom Wood Honda is excited to be transitioning to a brand-new dealership facility in Whitestown, Indiana, expected to open early 2027. Team members hired now will have the opportunity to grow with us through this exciting transition. Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (Xtime, Dealertrack, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury brand
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, professional, concierge-level greeting to every client
  • Actively listen to customer concerns and clearly explain service recommendations
  • Maintain consistent communication regarding repair status, timelines, and additional needs
  • Build long-term customer relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business
  • Accurately write repair orders reflecting customer concerns and technician findings
  • Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance
  • Review completed work with customers and explain findings clearly and confidently
  • Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition
  • Achieve service sales goals while maintaining honesty, transparency, and trust
  • Promote dealership programs, warranties, and service packages
