About The Position

The C. Harper Auto Group's Ford/KIA dealership is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in automotive service advising and must be an experienced advisor, coupled with a valid commercial driver’s license. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers, responsible for accurately diagnosing their vehicle service needs, delivering exemplary customer service, and ensuring that all repairs and services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Accredited training in service advisor skills, customer satisfaction, and quality control, along with demonstrated experience in an automotive service advisor role. (2 years minimum in a similar Service Advisor position.)
  • Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to customers and team members.
  • Ability to concentrate and achieve tasks in a fast-paced environment, even when faced with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and proficiency in the use of computers and business machines are essential.
  • Proven experience in automotive service advising.
  • Must be an experienced advisor.
  • A valid commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to thoroughly understand their vehicle repair and service requirements, ensuring a clear and accurate communication of needs.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by building strong, trust-based relationships, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.
  • Uphold and promote the company’s standards for ethical business practices, maintaining a professional image, orderliness, and strong relationships with both employees and the community.
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle under service, ensuring that customers are regularly updated on the status and any changes to the service timeline.
  • Drive profitability by maximizing service and repair sales, effectively executing retail promotions, and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Supervise the work of technicians, ensuring that they adhere to time management best practices, accurate parts ordering, and timely job completion.
  • Take a hands-on approach to quality control, overseeing and participating in final inspections to guarantee that all services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of standard operating procedures, ensuring that our service processes are continuously optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
