Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon their arrival in the maintenance area.
  • Listen attentively to their vehicle concerns and conduct thorough inspections.
  • Proactively check for recalls.
  • Retrieve crucial vehicle information.
  • Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and providing daily updates.
  • Submit documentation for warranty repair orders.
  • Handle customer relations on a per-need basis.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
  • Prepare detailed repair orders.
  • Obtain necessary approvals.
  • Monitor repair work to ensure timely completion.
  • Review completed jobs.
  • Collect payments.
  • Efficiently close out service orders.
  • Ascertain vehicle problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms.
  • Clarify description of problems.
  • Retrieve mileage and VIN numbers from vehicle.
  • Check vehicle maintenance records.
  • Examine service schedules.
  • Call customer when job is complete and truck is ready for pick up.
  • Establish good customer relations by providing estimates and timelines.
  • Explain provisions and exclusions of warranty and service contracts.
  • Enter RO into service database system and send to Estimator and Dispatcher.
  • Print warranty.
  • Print repair orders.
  • Issue sublet purchase order numbers.
