About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Server for a polished, modern steakhouse. The ideal candidate will possess a vibrant personality and deliver technically perfect, edgy, polished, fun, personalized, warm, sincere, and modern service. Servers are responsible for managing 3-4 tables, verifying guest identification for alcohol purchases, and possessing complete knowledge of the restaurant's food and beverage offerings. This role requires excellent communication skills, attentiveness to guest needs, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Servers must also be proficient in using a computer to process orders, handle various payment methods, and manage responsible alcohol service. Maintaining cleanliness, completing side work, and reporting to work in a neat uniform are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills; handle money and give correct change.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Multi-task oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of communication with guests, co workers, Managers and Chefs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve 3 – 4 tables, as determined by management.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Possess complete knowledge of the Restaurant’s food and beverage preparation.
  • Use a computer to ring orders on a check.
  • Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times.
  • Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.
  • Be attentive and offer assistance before guests have to ask for it.
  • Work as a team with all Company’s personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
  • Accept different types of payment and make change.
  • Limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guests.
  • Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Clear and reset tables.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Carry plates to the tables.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
