About The Position

Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests in an incredibly friendly atmosphere. Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests at tables in the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Six months to one year prior related experience
  • Experience with POS
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up section, including preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
  • Greet all guests promptly in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
  • Guide guests through the menu and provide detailed, accurate information on menu items, including preparation methods, ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
  • Confirm allergy indicators on food orders and follow proper procedures when handling or delivering allergy-sensitive items.
  • Maintain active communication with kitchen and management to stay informed on menu changes, 86'd items, allergy notices, and special instructions.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system in a timely manner.
  • Monitor guests' physical condition when entering the restaurant and bar; monitor alcohol consumption while on the premises to ensure all HCR and county serving policies are followed. Take appropriate steps according to HCR policies to reduce the occurrence of alcohol related issues.
  • Check guests' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
  • Maintain awareness of table numbers, guest seat numbers, and dining room sections to ensure accuracy and efficiency in service.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, taking extra care to perform any additional table-side preparation or service as required for items served.
  • Describe and recommend wines to guests; bring selection to the table with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for the guests.
  • Proactively check in with guests throughout the meal to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning. Prepare the table for the next guest.
  • Prepare certain hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
  • Present accurate checks, manage special requests (such as split checks) and process payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist the entire service team throughout the meal period to ensure all guests’ expectations are exceeded.
  • Restock service areas and maintain organized and sanitary workstations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
  • Report for work on time and uphold expectations for attendance, uniform, and professional conduct. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
