About The Position

As part of Ovation Communities, Chai Point Senior Living offers gracious living for Independent and Assisted Living residents in an elegant high-rise building overlooking Lake Michigan, at the center of Milwaukee's cultural heartbeat. 1-, 2-, and 3-bedrooms available. The Primary Purpose of this Position is to serve meals to the residents and guests in the dining room and take used service items out of the dining room.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong communication and relationship building skills with residents, and is able to explain residents’ needs to others as needed for resident advocacy.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Previous wait person experience preferred.
• Food handling certification is highly encouraged for this position.
• Specialized training or experience in geriatric care or gerontology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set-up independent and assisted living dining rooms prior to meal service.
• Fill and re-stock various food, condiments and supplies, either in the kitchen or the dining rooms.
• Assist in the seating of residents and guests as necessary.
• Wait on tables, using proper service procedures.
• Take plates, food, etc. away from tables when resident is completed with the item/meal.
• Assist guests and visitors with the proper ordering procedure in the dining rooms.
• Complete on-going cleaning as needed in the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Know the Kosher dietary restrictions.
