About The Position

Position Overview Our Server’s primary focus is to create dining experiences worth celebrating which in turn create loyalty. This position is guest-focused, team-focused, and community-connected. This individual should be outgoing, positive, and make guests feel welcome. This role involves taking food and beverage orders accurately, delivering them in a timely manner, and making sure the needs of the guests are met. In this position, the Server should have an eye for detail, be detail oriented, be able to work well under pressure with hosts/hostesses, cooks, bussers, and management and thrive in a fast paced environment. Servers work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to access online scheduling apps
  • Knowledge of RAS (responsible alcohol service) procedures as defined by both federal and state laws

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years experience preferred, but will train
  • ABC Certification - DE or TIPS Certification - MD

Responsibilities

  • In a timely manner, provide a warm welcome to guests upon arrival and engage in conversation.
  • Be knowledgeable about food and beverage options and present them in an informational, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
  • Inform guests of specials and/or promotions, answer questions pertaining to the food and beverage menus, and be prepared to make suggestions when asked
  • Correctly enter orders into Point of Sale system for transmittal to kitchen staff and in proper sequence and appropriate charges
  • Check guest identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Regularly check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or additional requests and inform managers as needed
  • Practice safe food and bag handling and cleanliness at all times
  • Encourage contactless payment in brands where it is available or collect and accurately process guest payments by handling money, making necessary changes, and processing credit card transactions
  • Bus tables and ensure table is guest ready for next guest
  • Perform shift change and/or opening or closing duties
  • Complete additional duties assigned by supervisor
