About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks a Part Time Server in Shaughnessy's Pub to greet and serve guests according to standards. The role involves taking and serving guest orders promptly, performing necessary setup and side work, answering guest questions about the menu, checking food for accuracy in appearance, temperature, and portions before serving, and performing other assigned job-related duties. Servers are expected to have a self-starting personality, maintain a professional appearance and manner, communicate well with guests, be willing to assist coworkers, and act as a guest relations ambassador. Open availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.

• Answer any guest questions about the menu.
• Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
